The win takes Lajong to 10 points from four matches, while Vasco slipped to second spot with 9 points from as many. The home side who dominated proceedings right from the kick-off opened the scoring at the stroke of half time when Seikhohao Tuboi volleyed in a Zenith Mashangva's cross. Changing over, Vasco went all out in the attack. They were finally rewarded when Joy Ferrao tapped home in the 61 st minute. Sachin Gawas' solo run down the right found Joy in the box, and he made no mistake. But Vasco were soon reduced to ten men when goalkeeper Milagrio Medeira was flashed the red card for handling the ball outside the 18 yard box.
